A retrospective exhibition of graphic arts and paintings by Kęstutis Ramonas

2019 - 08 - 02

Kęstutis Petras Ramonas spent his childhood in Biržai and his early life in Kaunas. The last 60 years passed working as an artist in Vilnius. The path of this artist is unusually diverse: a graphic artist and a painter, a designer and an art teacher, a portaitist and an abstractionist. K. P. Ramonas educated over 1,000 artists and designers during his 40 years long teaching career (30 years at the National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Arts, 10 years at Vilnius College of Design). While teaching young artists, he made a great amount of creative discoveries, and took part in more than 300 national and international exhibitions.

This long-awaited meeting in Biržai is the 38th solo exhibition by Kęstutis Petras Ramonas. The exhibition halls of Biržai castle display the selected works of the painter from 1967 to the present. The works reflect  the artist's decennially changing stylistic tendencies and the consistent unity of his aesthetic views.
